This amazing picture was taken by my son one evening during our visit to Kashmir.

(Remember I showed you some other breathtaking pictures in my earlier post...Learnt so much ! )

Now,birds yes  birds have always had a special room in my heart...( I just love that Pooh quote I mentioned above)

They with their size so small, have always inspired me to take big flights...
to stretch my wings with all my might

They with their sweet songs have told me to find one...
and play it on my lips when going gets tough

Stray birds come to my window...and in my back yard
to sing songs of love

and as they fly away...
I sigh not...

but keep their song in my heart...
for another day :)

Don't you love my little clay birdie ??
Ohh...I simply adore it :)

It makes me smile whenever I look at her..
She is my SMILE DOSE of the day:)

Color of LIFE

I sat down to think ...

which one is my favorite color ...

looked at the jar of crayons

peeped into my box of paints...

thinking...I closed my eyes...

oranges of sunrise...or of tangerines

blues of the sky or turquoise of the oceans

fresh greens of fields or the deep one of the olives

the cheerful yellow of lemons or the luminous daffodils

the perfect pinks of a lotus or a new born baby's cheeks

browns of hot melting chocolate or the earthy terra-cotta

reds of a perfect ripe tomato or of a beating heart

indigo of the deep midnight sky or the mysterious violet

white of an angel's wings or that of a flawless pearl

shades of a rainbow or pretty butterflies

and then a flash of blissful smile

made me realize... 

with its various hues and shades and so much more

 its the color of LIFE that I just adore !!

'Copada' swan

It has been quite some time since I participated in The Diva's challenge . I know I have missed a lot but then I was away creating ...memories and celebrating my vacations...well I did do that :)

This week's tangle prompt is 'Copada' by Margaret Bremner . Now in the beginning I just did not know what to do with this tangle but then when it started to flow I was surprised to see that it kind of took the shape of a swan :) So here it was my Copada swan ...what do you say??

This summer has been truly a summer filled with lots of bright colors of fun ,joy and enchantment. We have
had a blessed vacation with family and friends.


We visited the Paradise on Earth...Kashmir. I gathered a lot of memories and will carry them in my heart for years to come. I tried to enjoy the simplest of things and must tell you all that beauty does lie in simple things.

The high rugged mountains taught me to hold my head high even when the path is sure to make me stumble...

the dancing waters of the river told me to move on ...and on... with a song in my heart and a smile in my eyes...

the still lake taught me to pause...to be calm ...and to feel at peace...

the flowers and all the fauna around  told me to be awesomely awake ...and to celebrate life :)

The fresh cool breeze whispered in my ears to breathe...deep...really deep...and to be grateful !

Each sunrise inspired the 'me' in me to welcome the new dawn and make the most of it ...

every moonlit night made me believe that 'wherever your heart is...you will find your treasure'...



Oh! so much to be thankful about...!!

Back...with memories !

I am back...I am happy to have lived each day of my vacations to its fullest.

I spent beautiful times with my family and friends and didn't realize that we were making memories... :)

Time just flies when you are with your loved ones and you can't get it back !

But you can certainly craft special memories out of the ordinary moments and  can cherish the beauty of those times ...again and again :)

Now when I am back those random memories make me smile...and I relive those magical times:)

" Rich will be my life if I can keep my memories full and brimming ,and record them on clear eyed mornings while I set joyously to work setting pen to holy craft ".
